Best Pavilions at Global Village
With 29 pavilions, seeing them all in one night is a mistake. Pick four or five, and treat the rest as a reason to return.
UAE Pavilion. Start here on a first visit: Emirati crafts, perfumes, dates and traditional food, plus the most authentically local souvenirs.
India Pavilion. One of the largest and liveliest pavilions — textiles, jewellery, handicrafts and spices, with prices almost always negotiable. For shopping, make it this one or Turkey.
Turkey Pavilion. Turkish delight, baklava, carpets, ceramics and lamps, with food stalls among the park’s most popular. Eat early or expect a queue after 7pm.
Egypt Pavilion. Papyrus art, alabaster, cotton clothing and pharaonic souvenirs, plus some of the park’s most filling budget meals.
Morocco Pavilion. Argan oil, leather goods, lanterns and mosaic-style décor — its beauty products are among the most genuinely local items in the park.
Japan, Korea, Europe and Americas Pavilions. Anime merchandise, beauty products, chocolates, artisanal foods, leather goods and Latin American crafts — a calmer mid-evening browse, and excellent for food gifts.
New and refreshed for Season 31. Sri Lanka and the shared Russia-Azerbaijan Pavilion have refreshed experiences, while Syria and Kuwait return with new façades — revisit these four first if you came last season. The redesigned Season 31 Passport, plus a new Kids Passport, can be stamped in every pavilion.

Best Shows and Concerts at Global Village
Most entertainment is included in your entry ticket, which is why Global Village beats almost every other Dubai attraction on value. These are the shows to plan around.
Fast Live 2: The Police Strikes Back. The new stunt show — car chases, crashes and choreographed action, live. Arrive 20 minutes early for a decent weekend view.
Bollywood Idol. A new anchor show following two brothers on very different paths, told through song, dance and drama — the best evening show for Bollywood fans.
Bank Heist. The second new anchor show: an acrobatic crime caper of tumbling, chases and theatre. A strong pick for teenagers.
Slam and the Main Stage concerts. Slam, the returning street-dance and acrobatics show, remains a crowd favourite, while the Main Stage hosts concerts and cultural performances most nights. Check the day’s schedule on the app when you arrive, as line-ups are announced in stages.
Kids’ Theatre: Care Bears and PJ Masks. Short, free shows for young children, alongside magic shows and singalongs.
Fireworks. In past seasons, fireworks ran on Friday and Saturday nights at around 9pm. The Season 31 schedule is expected to follow a similar pattern, but it is not published for the full season yet, so confirm the night’s timing on arrival and claim a spot near the Main Stage or lake 20 minutes early.
Carnaval Rides and Attractions
Carnaval, the funfair zone, holds more than 200 rides, games and attractions, paid separately from entry. The headline arrival is Tokyo Rush, a new looping roller coaster opening later in Season 31 (expected — no opening date confirmed yet). Returning favourites include the Dragon Kingdom, the Horror Hotel, Secrets of the Lost City and Exo Planet City, plus the Festival Wheel with refreshed carts. Queues are shortest at opening (4pm to 6pm) and after 10:30pm; 8pm to 10pm is the worst window.
Plan Your Visit in 6 Steps
- Step 1: Pick your day. Go Monday to Thursday for the AED 25 ticket and thinner crowds. Thursday is the sweet spot: weekday price, 1am close.
- Step 2: Buy tickets online. Book through globalvillage.ae or the official app to skip gate queues. Remember Sunday now costs the weekend rate of AED 30.
- Step 3: Arrive at 4pm. The first hour is the quietest — walk the pavilions in daylight, then stay for the lights, shows and fireworks.
- Step 4: Do pavilions before dinner. Visit your three must-see pavilions between 4:30pm and 6:30pm, while stalls are calm and shopkeepers have time to bargain.
- Step 5: Eat in small rounds. Snack across several countries instead of one big meal — chaat at the Indian stalls, kebabs at the Turkish stalls, dessert in the Dessert District. See our food guide.
- Step 6: End with a show. Catch a Main Stage show or a Carnaval ride after 8:30pm, then position yourself for fireworks. Leave 30 to 45 minutes before closing to beat the exit rush.
Money-Saving Tips for Global Village
- Go on a weekday. The AED 25 Monday-to-Thursday ticket saves AED 5 per person — AED 20 for a family of four.
- Take the bus, not a taxi. RTA buses cost around AED 10 per trip, versus a taxi fare that can top AED 100 each way from central Dubai.
- Use the free parking zones. If you drive, the free areas near the Gate of the World entrance beat paid zones, which run from around AED 75 to AED 200 per day.
- Haggle in the pavilions. Bargaining is expected, not rude. Start near half the quoted price on textiles, jewellery and crafts, be friendly, and be willing to walk away — sellers often call you back with a better price.
- Eat street food, not sit-down restaurants. A food crawl of small dishes across pavilions is cheaper and more memorable than one restaurant meal. Budget roughly AED 50 to 100 per person.
- Enjoy the free entertainment. Main Stage shows, street performers, parades and the Kids’ Theatre are all included in your ticket — a full evening without paying for a single ride.
- Carry some cash. Cards work almost everywhere, but a few small stalls are cash-only — bring AED 100 to 200 in small notes.

Getting There: Buses, Taxis and Parking
There is no Metro station at Global Village, so plan the last leg. The cheapest option is the RTA seasonal bus network, running coaches from four Dubai stations.
| RTA route | From | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| 102 | Al Rashidiya Bus Station (Centrepoint Metro, Red Line) | Every 60 minutes |
| 103 | Union Bus Station (Union Metro, Red and Green Lines) | Every 40 minutes |
| 104 | Al Ghubaiba Bus Station (Al Ghubaiba Metro, Green Line) | Every 60 minutes |
| 106 | Mall of the Emirates Bus Station (Mall of the Emirates Metro, Red Line) | Every 60 minutes |
Buses run roughly 3:15pm to 11:15pm; the trip takes about 30 minutes. Two electric tourist abras also run inside the park along the waterways. By car, Global Village sits on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) in Dubailand — allow extra time on weekend evenings. For a wider budget itinerary, see our guide to free things to do in Dubai.
Visiting Global Village With Kids and Family
Global Village is one of Dubai’s most family-friendly nights out. Entry is free for under-3s, strollers are available to rent, and baby-changing and prayer rooms are throughout the park. The new Kids Passport gives children a stamp to collect at every pavilion. Arrive at the 4pm opening with small children, and use Tuesday family day for the calmest atmosphere. Keep it short for toddlers — two to three hours, one show, an early dinner.

What to Eat at Global Village (Brief)
With more than 250 dining options, food deserves its own guide — and it has one. Our Global Village food guide covers the best street food, the Floating Market, the Dessert District and the new Season 31 restaurants. The short version: graze across countries, save room for dessert, and try a Turkish ice cream show.
