Global Village Season 31: Dates and Theme
Season 31 opened on 14 October 2026 (gates opened at 6pm on opening night) under the theme “A More Wonderful World”. It runs through May 2027 — the exact closing date hasn’t been announced yet (expected, likely early to mid-May, following Season 30 which closed 31 May 2026). Global Village sits on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) in Dubailand, at Exit 37. There is no metro station on site, so plan on bus, taxi or car.

What’s New in Season 31
- New pavilions: Oman and Qatar join the lineup of 29 pavilions representing 90+ cultures, with 3,500+ shops and 250+ dining options.
- Tokyo Rush: a new looping roller coaster arriving later in the season (not at opening).
- New shows: 3 new productions plus stunt and theatrical shows, an expanded Main Stage, extended Fiesta Street, new Festival Wheel cabins, a redesigned Gardens of the World, and LED lighting on the Cultural Gate — 40,000 shows across the season.
- Season 31 Passport: redesigned, with a new Kids Passport; a WhatsApp chatbot is planned.
Food at Global Village: What to Eat
With 250+ dining options, eating is half the experience. Each pavilion serves its country’s street food — Turkish kebabs and baklava at the Turkey pavilion, Indian chaat and dosas at India, luqaimat and harees at the UAE pavilion, plus the famous Global Village knafeh stalls. Fiesta Street is the dedicated food strip, and the Floating Market on the lake serves Asian street food from boats. Budget roughly AED 50–100 per person for a proper food crawl; card payments work almost everywhere, though a few small stalls are cash-only.
Shows and Entertainment
Entry covers a heavy entertainment lineup: the Main Stage hosts concerts and cultural performances most nights, there are roaming street performers, stunt shows, and the weekly fireworks (Fridays at 9pm in past seasons — confirm the Season-31 schedule on arrival). The Carnaval funfair area has 170+ rides and games, including the new Tokyo Rush coaster arriving mid-season. Kids get the Fantasy Island and a dedicated play areas; the new Kids Passport gives them stamps to collect across pavilions.
Visiting Global Village With Kids
Global Village is one of Dubai’s most family-friendly nights out: entry is free for under-3s, strollers are available to rent, and there are baby-changing and prayer rooms throughout. Go at 4pm opening with small kids to avoid the late crowds, and note the Tuesday family-day rule doesn’t restrict families — it’s the best day to bring children if you prefer a calmer park.
Tips for Visiting
- Thursday is the sweet spot: weekday AED 25 ticket, but the park stays open until 1am.
- Arrive at 4pm opening to do pavilions in daylight, then stay for the lights and shows.
- Buy tickets online to skip the gate queues on weekends.
- Wear comfortable shoes — you’ll walk several kilometres.
- ATMs and prayer rooms are inside; outside food and drinks aren’t allowed in.
