JAFZA — the Jebel Ali Free Zone — is a gated, customs-bonded zone. Nobody walks or drives in without a pass. The good news: the whole system is online. Entry permits are issued electronically through Tasreeh, the gate-pass platform run by the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC).
This guide walks you through every JAFZA gate pass type, the fees, the documents you need, and the exact steps to apply online in 2026.

What Is the JAFZA Gate Pass (Tasreeh)?
Tasreeh is the 24-hour online gate-pass service for Jebel Ali Free Zone and Jebel Ali Port, launched by Dubai Trade together with PCFC Security. Instead of paper permits, you apply online, the host company approves, and the electronic pass is emailed to you. At the gate, security verifies it before letting you through.
You can apply through tasreeh.ae or through the Dubai Trade Portal under “Access and Identity Cards”.

Renewal Rules
- Permanent, temporary, and identity cards can be renewed up to 30 days before expiry.
- There is a 30-day grace period after expiry — but if more than 30 days pass, the card is automatically cancelled and you must apply for a new one.
- Renew through the same Tasreeh portal with updated documents.
Common Mistakes That Delay Approval
- Uploading a blurry or wrong-size photograph
- A company letter without the official seal/stamp or a clear reason for visit
- Expired trade licence copy of the host company
- Applying for the wrong pass type (e.g. a day pass for a week-long job)
- Not following up with the host company — their approval is mandatory
